Many Nottingham Forest fans have shown their appreciation for new manager after he was filmed meeting with fans and answering their questions.

After a horrible start to the season, things are finally starting to look up for Forest. Former manager Chris Hughton was sacked after six defeats in seven matches, which led to Cooper being appointed.

A draw against Millwall in his first game in charge was followed up by wins against Barnsley and Birmingham City.

The new head coach recently met with a cross-section of supporters to discuss a range of topics. The club’s official Twitter account shared some of the footage and it went down well with a number of fans.

What did these Forest fans have to say?

‘Brilliant. Love to see it. Can’t wait for the next game. Long may the form and the feeling continue.”

“The future is bright I hope.”
“I absolutely love this guy he’s shown already how in awe he is with the fans and how proud he is to be the manager of our great club. I got the total opposite with Hughton like we was lucky to have him. I can really see the players believing everyone he wants from them.”
“Just watched it and got goosebumps, wow – he’s taking us up”
“Genuinely can’t ask for any more. It’s all we have ever wanted.”
“Never on my life have I wanted someone to succeed as much as Steve. He speaks phenomenally. Could he be ‘The One’??”

It certainly seems as if Cooper said the right things. Though after the start he has made, he probably can’t say an awful lot wrong at the moment – at least in the minds of these Forest supporters.

The recent upturn in results now means that the Championship side have risen to 17th spot in the league, with 11 points after 11 games.

Will have Forest pushing for the play-offs by next season?

Things are certainly looking good right now for Cooper and his new club.
