A collection of Sheffield United fans have reacted with joy online after Rhian Brewster scored a penalty for the England under-21 team.

The Blades man netted his penalty in the 10th minute during the European Under-21 Championship qualifying match against Kosovo.

His goal, and one more added by Cole Palmer, gave the England youth side a 2-0 victory over their opposition in Group One.

The strike was shared on Twitter by Sheffield United’s official account and the club’s supporters were more than happy to bask in the celebration of the moment.

Here’s what these Sheffield United fans said

“This is a superb penalty, he doesn’t look like a player short of confidence.”

“Quality pen that, absolutely no chance for the keeper.”
“Goat imo.”
“He’s took that very well to be fair to him.”
“We love to see it, Rhian.”
“Unpopular opinion, when we click and we will, Brewster gets 20 this season.”

In October last year, the former Liverpool man made the switch to his current club for a deal reported to be in the region of £23.5m.

Coming for such a high fee was always going to put pressure on the youngster’s shoulders and unfortunately, he hasn’t quite lived up to expectations as of yet.

Will Rhian Brewster come good for Sheffield United this season?

Yes

Yes

No

No

Indeed, he only has one goal to his name in the red and white of United, but that did at least come during this current season.

Perhaps this penalty scored while out on international duty will give him the confidence he needs to have a strong campaign in the Championship.
