A number of Celtic fans vented their anger with midfielder Tom Rogic after he put in an underwhelming performance in the club’s most recent match.
The Bhoys cruised to a comprehensive 3-0 win over Raith Rovers in the Scottish League Cup thanks to strikes from Jota, Liel Abada and David Turnbull – all goals were scored before Dario Zanatta compounded their opponents’ misery by getting sent off in the 59th minute.
Is Ange Postecoglou the right man to manage Celtic?
Despite the comfortable victory, the club’s supporters were less than impressed with Rogic’s showing in the middle of the park. They took to Twitter to make their feelings known.
Here’s what these Celtic fans said…
“I thought Rogic just needed a run of games to get his fitness up, but he’s shocking again tonight.”
These fans certainly didn’t have a lot of time for the Australian’s performance. Perhaps manager Ange Postecoglou felt a similar way as he decided to substitute Rogic with about 20 minutes left on the clock.
Despite the 28-year-old’s evidently poor performance, the Bhoys will still advance into the semi-final of the competition. Perhaps he’ll be able to shine in the latter stages of the tournament. If not, he’ll likely face the wrath of these fans once again.
