A whole host of Tottenham Hotspur fans are furious on Twitter following links to Jarrod Bowen.

Spurs made some smart moves during the summer transfer window bringing in Cristian Romero and Emerson Royal, who have already featured in the Spurs first team, with the latter starting the previous two league games – although they have seen Tottenham concede three goals in both games.

Will Tottenham Hotspur make top four this season?

Yes

Yes

No

One position that they are already well stocked up on without bringing in any other reinforcements is on the wings, with the likes of Son Heung-min, Lucas Moura and Steven Bergwijn comfortable playing there, but that hasn’t stopped links in the Independent suggesting they are interested in West Ham United star, Bowen.

A lot of Spurs fans are angry on Twitter with the Bowen links.

What have these Tottenham fans been saying?

“Spurs’ recruitment all over. Could have bought him for £20m in January 2019 but didn’t want to pay the fee West Ham sign him, he does alright but they will want near £35m to sign him and probably won’t do business with Spurs anyway, but Spurs still want him You can’t defend this”

“We’re finished”

@BenDolman4

“Wallahi we’re finished”

@Areeb7b

“We scouted him before he went to West Ham and didn’t follow through with the interest. Now you expect West Ham to sell him to us? This club is an absolute joke.”

@PokerFa28849010

“Rubbish”

@swspurs

“LOL, what complete garbage. Why the hell would he come to us right now? Should have got him from Hull.”

@Coq_Au_Ginge

Bowen was a deadline-day signing for West Ham in 2020 for £20 million from Hull City and he has proved to be a stellar piece of business, racking up nine goals and 10 assists since his arrival, as well as showcasing his flexibility by playing in a number of different positions under David Moyes.

Starting with a current Tottenham star. How many PL goals has Harry Kane scored for Spurs?

From Bowen’s point of view, you would imagine one of the only reasons he’d potentially join Spurs would be if they could offer him an enormous wage packet, as the Hammers are in a higher level of European competition and is a regular starter, whereas at Spurs he may have fierce competition to become a regular under Nuno Espirito Santo.

    It’s an absolute joke, we are crying out for world class players not Championship players. Levy, Paratici, Levy’s yes man and Nuno have to go, they really haven’t got a clue. We’re the only club in history that can go through a summer transfer window and end up with a worse squad than what we started with.

    So there are still some football fans who don’t realise these stories are made up. Wow
