A number of Leeds United fans have reacted online after footage emerged of a goal their Under-21s scored in a Papa John’s Trophy match.

The youngsters fell to a 4-1 defeat to Tranmere Rovers in their first of three away trips in Trophy. However, the game did at least provide one moment of magic for United.

After an hour of football, with the score at 3-0, 15-year-old Archie Gray managed to lose his man with some clever footwork, before sliding an incisive through-ball to Amari Miller who cut inside and finished smartly at the near post.

Here’s what the had to say

“The assist is pure filth.”

If his grandson can end up having a career anywhere close to as good as that for Leeds, these supporters will be in for a treat in the coming years.
