Sunderland fans have been reacting to a transfer claim that has emerged surrounding Tottenham Hotspur defender Dennis Cirkin.
The Black Cats got off to a flying start with a 2-1 victory over Wigan Athletic in League One at the weekend as they look to make their way back to the Championship, with this now being their fourth straight season in the third tier of English football.
And it appears as though they are going to be adding to their arsenal in order to try and make that a reality.
According to a report from Football Insider, Sunderland are on the verge of signing the young Tottenham defender on a four-year deal. News of his imminent arrival was relayed to fans by journalist Pete O’Rourke, and it’s fair to say that the news generated quite a lot of excitement amongst the supporters:
“Scenes”
The 19-year-old has yet to play any senior football at club level and has only made the Tottenham bench on a handful of occasions, so there must be a lot of faith being placed in him if they are willing to commit to him for four years.
