A whole host of Celtic fans appear to be delighted on Twitter with the latest news surrounding Cameron Carter-Vickers and Ko Itakura.
According to the Daily Record’s Jack Currie, both Carter-Vickers and Itakura have been linked with a move to Celtic and centre-back may be an area Ange Postecoglou wants to improve having lost Kristoffer Ajer to Brentford.

Itakura is still on the books at Manchester City but despite featuring 36 times on loan with FC Groningen last season, the defender is expected to leave, whereas Carter-Vickers has seen himself linked with Celtic and Premier League club Newcastle United following his performances with Bournemouth’s failed promotion push last season.

In Postecoglou’s first four competitive matches as Celtic manager, he has seen his side concede seven goals, so targeting some new defenders should not come as that much of a surprise.
With both defenders at clubs playing in Europe, it would appear that their futures will be at another side, given the competition they both have ahead of Carter-Vickers and Itakura at Tottenham Hotspur and Man City respectively.
