Celtic fans have been reacting to news surrounding Anthony Ralston ahead of the upcoming international break.
The 22-year-old defender has got off to an incredible start to the season, playing every minute of Celtic’s games so far and has even managed to make an impact at the other end of the field, scoring two goals and providing one assist.
On top of that, he is also the team’s best performing player when it comes to their WhoScored ranking with a staggering score of 8.72, which just so happens to also be the highest score of any player in the Scottish Premiership.
And so with the international break coming up, you’d imagine that he would have made a pretty good case to be selected in Steve Clarke’s side. But when the news came through of the most recent squad selection, Celtic players Callum McGregor, James Forrest, Ryan Christie, Greg Taylor and David Turnbull were all named, but not Ralston.
This generated an angry response from supporters online, who felt like he should have been selected:
“Why no Ralston!! Bizarre”
Should Ralston have got the call for Scotland?
Yes
No
Luckily, there’s still plenty of international games after this upcoming break, so there’s still time for Ralston to get his chance if he keeps playing the way he has.
