A lot of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to voice their thoughts on a video interview to emerge on the official club account following their Carabao Cup win.

Marcelo Bielsa’s men dispatched Crewe Alexandra on Tuesday night at Elland Road in a comfortable 3-0 win which saw them advance to the third round.

The game saw the return of Adam Forshaw in what was his first start under Bielsa since September 2019, having suffered from a long-standing hip injury.

Following the game, the midfielder spoke of his delight to return to the first team after a difficult spell that saw injury keep him away from Bielsa’s plans.

“I am just happy, obviously, relieved and happy,” Forshaw said following the game.

Leeds fans flocked to the footage of the 29-year-old after the victory to share their thoughts on seeing Forshaw back in contention at Elland Road.

What exactly did these Leeds fans have to say?

Buzzing for him! Great to see him out there again. #LUFC

“Buzzing for Forshaw, slowly getting back into the fold”

“Absolutely buzzing for Adam what a trooper and great to have him back in the team”
“Great to see Forshaw back and starting tonight. Good luck to him this season..”
“Fantastic to see him back hopefully an injury-free season & he could be a great addition to the midfield again “
“Over the moon for him”
“Unbelievable effort”

Forshaw only made one appearance in the entirety of last season which came for the U23s side in the Premier League 2 Division 2 with injury sidelining him up until April (via Transfermarkt).

It seems the return of Forshaw has these Leeds fans excited by the prospect of what the midfielder could bring to their team this season if he can remain injury-free.
