Celtic fans have been reacting to the latest update in the club’s hunt for Croatian defender Josip Juranovic.

According to a report from Lyall Thomas at Sky Sports News, Celtic and Juranovic’s current club Legia Warsaw have now agreed a fee for his services, believed to be £2.5m. The move comes after Celtic were unsuccessful in their attempt to sign Manchester City’s Yan Couto, who is reportedly on his way to Braga in Portugal.

Right-back has been a position of need for Celtic this summer, with the Sky Sports report quoting boss Ange Postecoglou when he said: “It’s obviously an area where we definitely need some cover. At the moment Anthony Ralston is doing an outstanding job and I think there’s more in him to improve. But he can’t play every game.”

The news of the agreed fee was relayed to supporters via Thomas’ Twitter account for them to react to, and it’s fair to say that there were a number of them excited to see this latest update:

“A RIGHT-BACK YASSSSS”
“Things you love to see”
“2.5mil for a Croatian internationalist seems a bargain”
“Belter of a signing if we pull it off. £2.5 M for Croatian International first choice right back”
“This is a great signing – if it comes off”
“CAAAMMOONNNN”
