Celtic fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest video to emerge on social media of Hoops manager Ange Postecoglou.

This comes after the official Celtic Twitter account shared a post that contained a video of Postecoglou speaking to the club’s media after seeing his side lose 2-1 to Danish side FC Midtjylland in the second leg of their Champions League qualifying clash.

During the video, Postecoglou said that it was a “disappointing result” but that “the players gave everything”.

This post then gathered a lot of replies from numerous Hoops supporters, who were not shy in sharing their thoughts on the matter.

So, what did these Celtic fans have to say in response to Postecoglou’s comments?

“Shocking interview from manager saying players gave their all, one striker gave nothing at all and good few players hid after their equaliser. Also terrible to say all players were running on empty, season hasn’t even started and he says that about players. Really not good enough”

“Couldn’t ask any more of the team?! Sorry mate, but you must have seen Edouard masquerading about the pitch? Criminal performance!”

“Got exactly what we deserve, the lack of quality and experience all over the park, shows.”

“Ange looks exasperated already”

“If those players gave everything, they clearly don’t have much to give”

“Something isn’t quite adding up. Eddie Howe was said to have rejected the managers job at Celtic because his chosen backroom team weren’t going to agree to it. If that’s the case – why hasn’t Ange Postecoglou managed to bring his own team with him?”

“I hope I’m wrong but I honestly think he is out of his depth already. It was a poor appointment by a shambolic board. Our club has become an embarrassment.”

Looking at the replies to this post, it seems as though these Celtic fans are not too pleased by this latest result and what Postecoglou had to say about it.

Given how only Callum McGregor, David Turnbull and Dane Murray were the only Celtic players to pick up a match rating higher than a 6/10 according to The Scottish Sun, this suggests just how disappointing the other Hoops players were throughout this latest defeat and why these responding fans have done so in such a negative fashion.

Do you think all the Celtic players gave their best against Midtjylland?

Moving forward, the best way for Postecoglou to get these fans back on his side is if can get his team off to a good start when the SPFL season kicks off.
