Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano has been speaking on his latest Here We Go podcast to discuss all things football with potential incomings and outgoings at the forefront.

Romano discussed reported Crystal Palace target Joachim Andersen, with the Danish international expected to make a return to the Premier League this summer.

Would you be pleased with the signing of Andersen?

Tottenham Hotspur were said to be interested in the 25-year-old centre-back, however, it is believed they have moved their focus onto Atalanta defender Cristian Romero.

Andersen spent the 2020/21 campaign with Fulham, where he featured 31 times in their Premier League campaign which saw the Whites return to the Championship.

Discussing Crystal Palace’s pursuit of the Danish international, Romano had the following to say.

“Joachim Andersen for Crystal Palace is really, really advanced. The final stages is almost done. In the next hours, everything will be completed.”

TIF Thoughts on Palace’s summer spending…

We have been fairly impressed by Palace during this summer’s transfer window so far.

The Eagles have already added Michael Olise and Marc Guehi to their squad this summer, with both young players featuring heavily for their previous sides last term.

Patrick Vieira has already added to his defence with Guehi, however, the 21-year-old has no Premier League experience, so we would be interested to see if the pair would start alongside each other should Andersen seal his transfer in the near future.

Given Spurs were reportedly interested in him, it could be considered a huge steal from the Eagles if they are able to lure Andersen to south London.
