Sheffield United fans have been reacting on Twitter to the latest news and rumours surrounding their football club.

This comes after Blades-focused account The Bladesman relayed information from The Star’s James Shield, suggesting that Slavisa Jokanovic’s side will be demanding a £40 million fee for Aaron Ramsdale, who is set to inform the club that he has no intention of leaving the club.

Sheffield United fans were quick to give their responses and weren’t shy in sharing their thoughts on the latest update.

Judging by the responses from Sheffield United fans, many are hoping that Ramsdale does stay as they praised the goalkeeper for his attitude.

Ramsdale signed for the Blades last summer for around £18.5 million from relegated Bournemouth but the 23-year-old ended up being relegated from the Premier League in back-to-back seasons as United were relegated after finishing bottom of the Premier League this season.

The Blades No 1 kept five clean sheets in 38 in the Premier League last season and conceded 63 goals in what was a difficult season for Sheffield United. Ramsdale finished the season with a WhoScored rating of 6.55 and is now preparing for life in the Championship under Jokanovic.

The responses suggest that fans may not be laying too much blame at Ramsdale’s door and are hopeful of a successful Championship campaign with him between the sticks.
