Celtic fans have been reacting to comments from John Kennedy ahead of the final game of the season.
The game at Easter Road is pretty much the definition of a dead rubber given where both teams are in the league, with Celtic and Hibernian locked into 2nd and 3rd place respectively. So as a result, it looks as if the interim Celtic boss, more than likely taking charge of his final game, won’t be playing with a full-strength side for the whole 90 minutes.
Speaking in his press conference, he confirmed that there will be some younger players in the squad and that if the opportunity was right they would get onto the pitch “We’ll have a few younger players around around [sic] the squad as well. We want to finish strong. Everyone wants to play their part. We’ll see how the game goes, it might be an opportunity for some to come on as well.”
However, rather than being met with great joy that the club could be playing some younger players, there seemed to be a lot of anger that he didn’t think to do so sooner into his tenure:
“Should have happened months ago”
Do you think John Kennedy will get a job elsewhere?
Yes
No
Which given that Rangers won the league during the first week of March, you can kind of understand why they might be angry that they weren’t given the chance sooner.
