Newcastle United fans on Facebook have been responding to the latest comments made by Toon manager Steve Bruce.

This comes after The Chronicle shared a post on their official Facebook page relaying comments made by Bruce during his latest press conference ahead of the club’s Premier League clash against Arsenal on Sunday.

Starting with a relatively recent player. Who is this?

During his press conference, Bruce said that his side have shown their “resilience” as well as “spirit and togetherness” during their recent run of league matches “to get out of the situation” they were in regarding their relegation worries.

This post then gathered a lot of replies from Toon fans who were not shy in sharing their thoughts on what the 60-year-old had to say.

So, what did these Newcastle fans have to say in response to Bruce’s latest comments about the team?

Bruce was appointed as Newcastle’s manager back in July 2019 and has since gone on to take charge of 83 matches with the Toon across all competitions, winning 26, drawing 22 and losing 35 along the way (per Transfermarkt).

Looking at the replies to this post, it seems that the majority of these Newcastle fans are not particularly impressed by Bruce’s latest comments and are quick to point the finger back at Bruce by saying that it’s because of him they are near the relegation zone in the first place.

However, given how Newcastle have taken eight points from their previous four league games with two wins and two draws, it’s easy to see why Bruce is happy with the team and their resilience in recent weeks.

Moving forward, if the team can continue picking up points until the end of the season and avoid relegation, this could potentially help get some Toon fans on Bruce’s side, despite their feelings on the season as a whole.
