Newcastle United supporters have been reacting on Twitter after Jonjo Shelvey’s poor first-half performance against West Ham United.
The 29-year-old midfielder has come under criticism from the Magpies faithful on several occasions this season after multiple underwhelming displays in a Newcastle shirt.
Steve Bruce’s men are hoping to build on their impressive 2-1 victory over Burnley last time out as they aim to move further away from the relegation places and maintain their Premier League status.
The three points against the Clarets was their first win in six league games, but Shelvey’s performance at St. James’ Park hasn’t done much to maintain the momentum.

Issa Diop’s own goal has put Newcastle in a commanding position in Saturday’s early kick-off, and their task has been made even easier by Craig Dawson receiving an early red card, however, Shelvey’s struggles are clearly still cause for concern for a large section of the club’s supporters.
