While Brown has been handed a one-year extension by Celtic, because of uncertainty involving the next Hoops manager, he ‘has been convinced’ that his future lies at Pittodrie. The verbal agreement with Aberdeen was reportedly reached after the recent Old Firm derby.

Some of these Celtic fans are disappointed about this news and they’d have wanted Brown to stay at the club.

Brown has been at Celtic during times when they didn’t win the Premiership title and he’s been part of teams that came back from disappointments of missing out on the league title as well. Celtic have failed to win the title this season and they might need some experienced players to come back from the disappointment.

So he could offer that experience, especially since the club is heading towards a rebuild. So it is understandable why some Celtic fans want the midfielder to stay.
