Multiple Celtic supporters have been talking about Paul Robinson’s comments on Frank Lampard managing at Parkhead in the future.

Robinson was recently talking exclusively to Football Insider and he discussed the impact that Lampard’s potential appointment could have at Parkhead. He believes that the Englishman’s appointment could have a ‘huge financial impact’ in Scottish football and the Lampard-Steven Gerrard twist in the Old Firm derby would be great too.

He believes that Lampard will have the same impact at Parkhead as Gerrard has had at Ibrox and it would be a ‘massive’ chance for Celtic and Lampard himself.

In the past, even Darren Bent had tipped Lampard for a Parkhead move. Robinson’s comments though, were posted on Facebook by Celtic Insider. Many Hoops supporters made their views clear about Lampard.

What did these Celtic fans make of Robinson’s comments about Lampard?

Lampard was sacked by Chelsea last month and he was replaced Thomas Tuchel. At Stamford Bridge, Lampard was reported to have lost the confidence of some players in the dressing room as they complained about a lack of tactical instruction. The Blues board was annoyed by Lampard’s demands to sign Declan Rice from West Ham and his relationship with director Marina Granovskaia deteriorated too (as per the Athletic).

Which club did Brown join Celtic from?

Noel Whelan has also made it clear that Lampard joining Celtic would be a ‘fantastic’ move.

It has been stated that during his tenure at Stamford Bridge, Lampard was the first manager of the club to use their youth system on a regular basis. Despite the fact that he was operating under a transfer ban, the Englishman guided Chelsea to a fourth-placed finish and a FA Cup final (as per the Athletic).

He also had a decent points per match tally of 1.75 at Chelsea and it stood at 1.63 at Derby. It shows that Lampard is a good manager and because of that, he might be a good appointment for the Bhoys.
