Fans of Celtic have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relayed a report that claimed the club are interested in a move for Queens Park Rangers’ centre-forward, Sinclair Armstong.

According to a report by Goal, Celtic, Manchester City and Crystal Palace are keen on signing the QPR U18 forward, whose contract is set to expire at the end of the season.

Which club did Brown join Celtic from?

The report claims that Armstong is regarded as one of the ‘top talents‘ to come out of Ireland after making his debut for his former club, Shamrock Rovers, while just 15-years-old.

Armstrong only joined QPR last October and has scored ‘several goals‘ for their U18 side so far this season. However, having only signed a one-year deal with the R’s, the 17-year-old now looks set to leave the club in the summer.

And after Everything Celtic relayed this report on Twitter, fans of the Hoops flocked to have their say on the matter, with many jokingly suggesting that their club should sign him off of his name alone.

So, what exactly did these Celtic fans have to say in reaction to their club’s link with Sinclair Armstong?

“That name is spectacular”

@KingChristieCSC

“He looks a unit”

@SeanOD2234

“Could be good if he turns out to be as good as the 2 players that make up his name were “

@PaulMcG1994

“If only for his name and the song potential this must be a priority”

@NcoastTim

“If we do then bring in a manager who improves players.”

@ArdnasYellamo

“Lennon will ruin him like so many others”

@Seanmac1407

Plz bring someone in @CelticFC”

@AIDAN0609

“A fair few young Irish players have knocked us back to go to the EPL over the years. I’m sure he will be the next one.”

@stephenmcglynn1

“Well if we’re in a battle with other teams I’m guessing he will not be coming to Parkhead.”

@celticraven1888

All in all, it would appear that, while some Celtic fans seem keen on a move for Armstong, others feel that if the 17-year-old were to join while Neil Lennon is still at the helm, the Northern Irishman would ruin the player, while some simply state that Celtic have no chance of landing the player if Manchester City and Crystal Palace are also interested.
