Supporters of Celtic have been reacting to the news that Alfie Doughty has signed for Championship side Stoke City from Charlton Athletic.

On Friday, it emerged that the Potters had sealed the services of the winger from the Addicks for an undisclosed fee (as per BBC).

This news comes after it was previously reported that Neil Lennon’s outfit was interested in acquiring the services of the 21-year-old Englishman.

According to the Daily Record, the Hoops had been long-term admirers of Doughty and were keen on bringing him up to Scotland, as were their Old Firm rivals.

Both the Bhoys and the Gers made pre-contract offers in an attempt to seal his move to the Premiership.

Following his move to Stoke, Celtic Gossip shared the news on Twitter and the post had lots of Hoops fans talking.
