Supporters of Celtic have fumed over a report which has linked Gordon Strachan with replacing Neil Lennon as the Hoops’ boss.

In recent months, the Bhoys have fallen upon difficult times as they have managed to win just one of their previous nine matches in all competitions (per Transfermarkt).

Over the run of poor results, Lennon’s side ensured they could not progress to the knockout stages of the Europa League and were knocked out of the Scottish League Cup.

This has led to the suggestion that Lennon will be removed from his position at Parkhead and it has been reported that Strachan is one of the names said to be being considered in the event that the current manager is relieved of his duties.

After a report regarding this was relayed to Hoops fans on social media on the Celtic News Now Facebook page, it had lots of them talking.

63-year-old Scot Strachan has previously been situated at Parkhead as Celtic’s manager between 2005 and 2009.

During that time, the former Scotland manager claimed three Scottish Premiership titles, one Scottish Cup and two Scottish League Cups.

As can be seen in these responses from Celtic supporters, many of them were not keen on the idea of Lennon being replaced by Strachan at Celtic Park.
