Many Celtic fans have been talking about the latest tweet that the Daily Record recently relayed on social media.

Hugh Keevins recently wrote an article for the Daily Record. The piece said that Celtic’s ‘turgid’ performances in the European competitions point to the fact that something is currently ‘wrong’ at Parkhead.

The article said that questions will be asked of Celtic if they don’t do significant business and if they don’t sign players.

The piece said that Odsonne Edouard has the ‘look of someone who’s been to Ikea, bought the storage boxes and is now looking out the window wondering where the removal van has gone’ (as per the Daily Record).

A tweet about this article was relayed on Twitter by the Daily Record. It caught the attention of many Celtic fans and they made their opinions clear about the article.

Have Celtic had a poor season?

In the piece, Keevins said that ‘no one can convince’ him that Celtic’s performance against FK Sarajevo was better than the ‘torturous’ performance against Riga.

The tweet about the article caught the attention of some other Celtic fans as well and they weren’t happy with Keevins’ negative take on the Hoops.

As things stand, Celtic are second in the Premiership table and are only one point behind their Old Firm rivals.

They have a game in hand though and are five points clear of third-placed Hibernian. They haven’t lost a single game yet and have conceded only five goals (as per BBC Sport).

While they failed to qualify for the group stages of the UEFA Champions League, they have already qualified for the group stages of the UEFA Europa League.

So, it has been a good season for them and because of that, it is understandable why Celtic fans aren’t happy with the article for painting a negative image of the club.
