Many Celtic fans have been fuming at Scott Brown following his performance against St. Mirren in the Premiership.
The Bhoys picked up a 2-1 win at St. Mirren on Wednesday despite falling behind in the third minute of the game through a Lee Erwin goal. They fought back soon enough, as Shane Duffy scored his second goal for the club and James Forrest grabbed the eventual winner. Odsonne Edouard missed a penalty, but Celtic managed to hold on to a 2-1 win.
Brown’s performance left many Celtic fans angry. They took to Twitter and aired their thoughts about his performance.
Scott brown should not be playing against teams who put 11 men behind the ball in the spl! That is a fact

Watching Scott Brown tonight has been torture. This is just another game that is completely passing him by.

Brown, who is valued at £1.08m, has been a regular for Neil Lennon’s men this season. He has made eight appearances in all competitions, with six of those appearances coming in the Premiership. He has started every single Premiership game so far in the campaign (as per Transfermarkt).
Some more Celtic fans weren’t happy with how he performed against St. Mirren.

Brown committed as many as four fouls in the game on Wednesday and even picked up a yellow card, while he failed to register a single tackle or interception during the match (as per WhoScored).
This perhaps shows that it wasn’t a good performance from the Scotsman and explains why Celtic fans are disappointed. He has played the second-highest number of minutes in all competitions for the Hoops this season, so resting him might be a good idea for Lennon. That may help Celtic in getting better performances from Brown.
