Aston Villa podcaster Neil Dunworth has been sharing his praise for Villa club captain Jack Grealish after he recently helped his side beat League One club Burton Albion 3-1 in the Carabao Cup.
This comes after Dunworth recently made an appearance on a Villa-themed podcast called Holtecast where he spoke about a number of topics concerning the club, including their recent midweek victory.
On the subject of Grealish, who scored Villa’s second goal of the game to put them ahead, Dunworth had this to say about the Englishman.
He said: “[Grealish] just makes it look so effortless. Once again, he was the best player in the field tonight, he’s the best player in the field whenever he steps on the field, nine times out of 10. The guy has got talent oozing out of his eyeballs.
“I’m just so delighted he’s on our team, so delighted he’s part of our club. I’m so delighted he’s a fan like us and I’m so delighted he wears the captain’s armband – and today, I’m absolutely so delighted that we have potentially got him until he’s 30 years of age for another five years. The guy is brilliant.”
As Dunworth mentioned in the podcast, it was recently announced that Grealish had signed a new five-year deal, keeping him at Villa Park until 2025 and dismissing any previous rumours of him making a move away from the club during the current summer transfer window.
In the recent match against Burton, Grealish put in a man of the match performance and earned himself a match rating of 8.74/10 – the highest of any Villa player that made an appearance in the game (per WhoScored).

This praise from Dunworth certainly shows that not only was he over the moon with Grealish’s performance against Burton, he is delighted by the fact that the 25-year-old has penned a new deal at Villa.
