Many Celtic fans have been discussing the latest tweet involving Mohamed Elyounoussi that recently emerged on social media.
The official Celtic Twitter account recently posted about the Norwegian star, saying that it has been one year since Elyounoussi joined the club from Southampton in his first loan deal at Parkhead. The tweet carried four images of Elyounoussi in a Celtic shirt.
This caught the attention of many Celtic fans, who flocked to the tweet. They made their negative opinions very clear about Elyounoussi and pointed out certain flaws in his style of play.
There’s been the odd flash from him but I’d rather have Paddy Roberts back

Does Elyounoussi deserve a first-team spot at Celtic?

While Elyounoussi had joined the club on loan in the summer of 2019 and missed 11 games due to injury, Celtic signed him on loan from Southampton once again this summer.
In the current campaign, the Norwegian has made six appearances in all competitions and has contributed to a total of three goals (as per Transfermarkt).
Some other Celtic fans also had criticism for Elyounoussi and his performances.
Dont bother making it another year. Very average at best.

Don’t make it permanent

The 26-year-old, who is valued at £8.55 million (as per Transfermarkt), has played four games in the Premiership in the current campaign and is yet to contribute to a single goal so far. He has racked up a rather unimpressive rating of 6.60 in the league (as per WhoScored).
Because of his average performances in the league, it is understandable why some Celtic fans aren’t quite happy with how Elyounoussi has played. His contribution in the qualifying stages of the UEFA Champions League was pretty good though and he deserves credit for that.
