A lot of Leeds United fans have replied to a post from Phil Hay that contains a link to an article produced by Stuart James on Daniel James.
The piece focuses on the former Swansea City winger’s troubles at Manchester United and the fact he has been targeted on Twitter by some.
The 22-year-old moved from the Liberty Stadium last summer for £15.3m to Old Trafford, and after three goals in his first four Premier League games, he has so far failed to score another.
This post from Hay drew the attention of these Leeds fans who feel they had a lucky escape.
Would you take James if he became available?
No, we can do better
Yes, would be a great signing
Headless chicken springs to mind. I thought that when we played Swansea straight after the transfer debacle and his recent exploits haven’t changed my mind. He can dive a long way though.

Thought he could cut the mustard. Good wage though. Good luck to him but don’t want him at LUFC

We had a very narrow escape. Fast yes, but absolutely no end product.

James was about to sign for the Whites in January 2019, and he even had a medical and posed for pictures, but at the last second, the Swans pulled the deal, and James returned to Swansea before joining the Red Devils last summer.
At Old Trafford, he has struggled bar those first few games and has earned an average rating of just 6.61 for his league performances in the 2019/20 season.
However, this has still not stopped some Leeds fans wanting James at their club for the next season, and they feel the Whites should put a bid in.
Could do with a loan to us to be coached properly he’d be worth a lot more after one season

Would still have him

James was very unlucky not to join the Whites in January 2019 and bar that brilliant beginning, he has struggled with the Red Devils, and it is no surprise to see some Leeds fans think that they did well to avoid him.
However, other Whites supporters seem more sympathetic and would like to sign him, so if he is made available for loan or transfer, it will be interesting to see if Leeds make a bid.
