Many Celtic fans have been discussing a tweet that was recently posted by Sunday Mail Sport.

Sunday Mail Sport recently shared an article about Celtic which was originally written for the Daily Record by Michael Gannon. The tweet said that the Hoops are a single ‘title slip up away from needing Ronnie O’Sullivan to get them a few snookers’.

Starting with an easy one - which club did Celtic sign Moussa Dembele from?

The article said that this Premiership season will be ‘mayhem’ and said that while there are a ‘million challenges’ for the club off the pitch, the ‘stiffest tests’ will be played out on the pitch. The piece talked about the title race this season and it said that the fact that Celtic are in quarantine comes as a ‘huge opportunity’ for their Old Firm rivals.

The Sunday Mail Sport tweet caught the attention of many Celtic fans, who seemed angry. They didn’t like the tweet nor the headline of the article as they made their opinions very clear.

Can Celtic miss out on the title this season?

The Daily Record article talked about the Gers and their chances of winning the title as well, saying that their game against Livingston is ‘where we’ll find out if they can really fight’. Later on, Steven Gerrard’s men were held to a draw by Livingston.

The tweet left some other Celtic fans fuming as well.

As things stand, Rangers are at the top of the table but have played a total of four games. Celtic are in sixth and have played just a couple of matches, picking up a total of four points. Hibernian are in second and are behind the Gers on goal difference (as per BBC Sport).

So the Hoops have a couple of games in hand and there are plenty of games yet to be played in the campaign. So it will be interesting to see how the title race pans out.
