Many Celtic fans have been discussing the latest tweet that their former player Moussa Dembele recently posted on social media.
Dembele recently quote-tweeted a post that Chris Sutton had shared. The Celtic legend talked about Dembele’s brace in Lyon’s 3-1 win over Manchester City in the quarter-final of the UEFA Champions League. Sutton said that he is ‘delighted’ for the Frenchman as he’s a player who was ‘developed’ in Scotland but was ‘shunned by Premier League clubs’. Dembele quote-tweeted this, thanking Sutton and saying that the semi-final will be ‘another battle’.
The Frenchman’s tweet caught the attention of many Celtic fans, who rushed to the post and made their admiration for Dembele very clear.
Your bang on the money another great player and top goal scorer who left Celtic. But totally underestimated because played in Scotland. A big premier ship loss for them. Well done Dembelle total respect ur a legend

Dembele was at Parkhead from 2016 to 2018. He had joined the club from Fulham on a free transfer and left for Lyon for a fee of £19.80 million (as per Transfermarkt).
Dembele’s brace against Man City came in the second half of the game and he had come on for Memphis Depay in the 75th minute of the tie (as per WhoScored).
Some other Celtic fans were also delighted about Dembele and his performance against the Citizens.
And you always rise to the occasion. HH moussa?

All in all, these Celtic fans are pleased for Dembele and are positive about his performance. The Frenchman made 94 appearances in all competitions for the Hoops and he scored 51 goals and picked up 18 assists as well (as per Transfermarkt).
It shows why Celtic fans still have a liking for him as he clearly had a good goalscoring record at Parkhead. They can only hope that Dembele scores more goals in the UEFA Champions League this season.
