Many Celtic fans have been discussing the latest news linking Christopher Jullien with a move away from Parkhead.

Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport (via CalcioNapoli1926) recently linked Napoli with a move for the Frenchman. They say that while the Partenopei feel that they have an ‘advantage’ in their chase of Gabriel Magalhaes, they have ‘taken steps to look around’ at other options. One of those options is Jullien himself.

Jullien had recently played for the Hoops in their Premiership game against Kilmarnock. He had given away a penalty and as a result, Celtic were held to a 1-1 draw at Rugby Park. Jullien had also featured in the club’s 5-1 win over Hamilton.

Some other Celtic fans also talked about Jullien’s links with a move to Napoli. One Celtic fan believes that if Napoli match Celtic’s asking price for the Frenchman, the Hoops will let Jullien go.

Jullien was a regular in the 2019/20 season as well. He made 46 appearances in all competitions, playing 28 times in the Premiership. He even scored three Premiership goals for the Hoops in the second-half of the campaign. His goal against Rangers in the League Cup final proved to be very important for the Bhoys as they won the trophy because of that (as per Transfermarkt).

It shows that while Jullien did give away a penalty against Kilmarnock, he is a regular for the Bhoys and can even chip in with important goals, so selling him at this point would be very risky for Neil Lennon’s men.
