Many Celtic fans have been discussing the latest news involving Albian Ajeti that recently emerged on social media.

Sky Sports journalist Anthony Joseph recently posted on Twitter to say that Ajeti is now in Glasgow to complete a loan move to Parkhead. He revealed that the Swiss striker will undergo a medical in the ‘next 24 hours’.

Starting with an easy one - which club did Celtic sign Moussa Dembele from?

The journalist claimed that while this transfer was ‘in jeopardy’ earlier, Neil Lennon has essentially ‘saved’ the deal for the Hoops. The journalist also posted another tweet to say that the deal ‘should be completed in the next 72 hours’.

The initial tweet from Joseph caught the attention of many Celtic fans. They rushed to the update and made their opinions very clear indeed.

Are you confident that the Ajeti deal will work for Celtic?

Absolutely!

At the end of July, it was reported by Sky Sports that while a deal was agreed with West Ham, Ajeti was taking his time to make a decision about the move. As a result, the move stalled and the deal dragged on.

Some other Celtic fans also reacted to Joseph’s tweet about Ajeti. They were positive about the move and made their opinion very clear. One fan even hailed Lennon for saving the deal.

All in all, Celtic fans seem pleased by the idea of signing Ajeti this summer. The Swiss striker didn’t score even once for West Ham in the 2019/20 season and only played 130 minutes of Premier League football (as per Transfermarkt).

For his former club Basel though, the striker found the back of the net 21 times and got 11 assists in all competitions in the 2018/19 season (as per Transfermarkt).

So Celtic fans can only hope that Ajeti recovers his form and plays more similar to how he did during the 2018/19 season at Basel.
