Many Leeds United fans have been discussing Angus Kinnear’s comments in his programme notes ahead of the club’s fixture versus Barnsley.
The club’s chief executive made reference to the choice of soundtrack being used by Sky Sports during their recent broadcasts of Leeds fixtures and took the opportunity to highlight the fact that the Whites have been forced to play after their immediate rivals on a number of occasions.
Phil Hay of The Athletic recently shared his thoughts on the matter during a Q&A with some of the club’s supporters and said: “Personally, I don’t think it’s right that Sky can create a schedule which has Leeds playing four times after the side who are coming for them in the last five matches. Don’t get me wrong, it’s their prerogative to pick live games but it does create an imbalance.”
@DaveLUFCWatkins shared a section of Kinnear’s notes via Twitter and here is how a sample of the Elland Road faithful have responded:
I seriously believe Sky don’t want Leeds to go up as this would devalue the championship and their advertising revenue.

This is great column by Angus. He talks well about sky moving games better than WBA manager moaning in press interviews. Something I am glad Bielsa has never done

Do you believe Sky have an agenda against Leeds United?
Yes
No
It is clear that many supporters agree that the scheduling has been unfair on Marcelo Bielsa’s side but it appears these supporters are less bothered by the choice of soundtrack.
We sing it to ourselves so…..

I like that they do it. I like the irony that it adds, just like when we sing it ourselves. I’ll definitely be singing it when we go up, hopefully as champions.

The Yorkshire-based club are closing in on promotion back to the Premier League for the first time since they were relegated in 2004, despite what the fans perceive to be a disadvantage with regards to the fixture schedule.
