Many Celtic fans have been talking about the latest news linking them with a move to sign Robin Olsen.
The Scotsman recently reported that the Swedish goalkeeper has now emerged as a target for the Hoops, who have ‘carefully monitored’ the Roma man as they look to improve their goalkeeping department this summer.

Yes, he's perfect
No, he's not good enough
Olsen joined Roma from FC Copenhagen in the summer of 2018 and was loaned out to Cagliari in the summer of 2019 (via Transfermarkt).

Was excellent at the World Cup in 2018. Perhaps gone off the boil, but look at Forster and Gordon before they joined us… https://t.co/7i1MWpZ7jl

Clearly, many Celtic fans would like Olsen at Parkhead, with one fan particularly keen on him because of the Swede’s height.
In the 2019/20 season, Olsen made 19 first-team appearances for Cagliari and kept four clean sheets (via Transfermarkt). As per Corriere dello Sport (via RomaPress), Olsen had ‘impressed’ in his first two months at Cagliari and there was a time when the club was looking to sign him permanently.
While Olsen’s loan spell at Cagliari has now ended, the fact that he is experienced at a top level of the game suggests he may be a viable option for Celtic to pursue this summer – so it is understandable why the Hoops are looking to sign the 30-year-old.
