Pleased with this. Highly rated and six years younger than Forster. Fits our business model. https://t.co/2Fx3V60Yun

It seems as if this news has given a real lift to many Celtic fans, with one of them saying that Barkas’ signing should only be a start and more signings should follow.
With a deal for Fraser Forster seemingly dead now, Barkas would slot into the goalkeeper position for the Hoops. The 26-year-old made 33 appearances in all competitions for AEK Athens in the 2019/20 season and kept a total of 16 clean sheets. In the league, he kept ten clean sheets while playing 20 games for AEK (as per Transfermarkt).
He offers Champions League and Europa League experience and at 26, he can still improve in the future. So this might just prove to be a good signing for Celtic.
