Leeds United’s official club Twitter account recently posted a tweet that shared an image from a Whites training session which caught the attention of plenty of Leeds supporters.
In addition to an image from training, this tweet also includes the words ‘another day closer’, which is likely referring to the fact that the 2019/20 Championship season, which was postponed back in March, is set to restart this weekend, with the Whites scheduled to take on Cardiff City in their first Championship game since the seventh of March this Sunday.

With that in mind, it mightn’t come as a big surprise that plenty of Leeds fans responded with excitement to this tweet.

Leeds currently sit at the top of the Championship table, seven points clear of Fulham who are their nearest challengers currently sitting outside of the automatic promotion places.
With that in mind, it may be fair to say that the Whites are in a promising position to earn promotion to the Premier League for the first time since they were relegated from England’s top-flight back in the 2003/04 campaign and it mightn’t be a big surprise that some Leeds fans replied to this post to share some encouragement for their side as they prepare to play their final nine games of the 2019/20 Championship season.
Are you confident that Leeds United will earn promotion to the Premier League for next season?YESNO |

While Leeds are in a promising position to earn promotion to the Premier League for next season at present, with the club sitting at the top of the table after playing 37 of their 46 games, they also sat in an automatic promotion place last season after playing 37 of their 46 games and they still ended up finishing in third place, six points behind second-placed Sheffield United and ultimately failed to earn promotion via the playoffs.
With that in mind, it may be fair to say that the Whites are still not entirely safe and they may have to guard against complacency to ensure that they secure promotion to the Premier League for next season.
