Many Celtic fans have been talking about the latest news update relating to the 2020/21 Premiership season.

Scotland’s Deputy First Minister John Swinney has recently told BBC Radio Scotland (via Daily Record) that they could be going in to ‘phase four’ of the route map to recover from the pandemic by the month of August. He confirmed that schools in Scotland could resume by August as well.

Moving to phase four ‘would signal the virus is no longer considered a significant threat to public health’.

He said: “We assess that by [the] time the schools are due to come back in August we will be very significantly into phase four of our route map. As a consequence of that, there’s every reason we should try to resume full-time education in Scotland.”

Starting with an easy one- apart from Paris Saint-Germain, which other French club did Edouard play for?

As a result, Hoops-related page ‘Celtic Underground’ relayed this information on Twitter recently, saying that this could mean that fans could watch the Hoops play at their home stadium next season and see them potentially win a 10th Premiership title in a row.

This tweet caught the attention of many Celtic fans, who made it clear that they want to watch their club play once again next season.

Will fans be allowed into stadiums for the 2020/21 season?

Absolutely

Absolutely

While some of the club’s fans were optimistic, others didn’t feel that they would get to watch games from the stadiums. They made their opinions pretty clear.

There is certainly a division between these Celtic fans about whether they would be able to watch Celtic games from the stadiums or not. In Scotland, football was temporarily suspended back in March, and Celtic were handed the Premiership title last month as a result of the campaign’s cancellation.

While the club’s fans can certainly be optimistic at this point, the SPFL has already reached an agreement with Sky Sports to offer virtual season tickets to fans. This will allow fans to watch games from the comfort of their homes. This could be a sign that games could indeed be played behind closed doors next season (via The Scotsman).

Therefore, fans should not get too ahead of themselves and know that it is tough to predict what will happen. They can only hope that they are allowed into the stadiums at some point to watch the Hoops fight for the title next season.
