Many Celtic fans have been discussing the latest season ticket news that the club released on social media.
The official Celtic Twitter account recently posted this update. The tweet revealed that the club has now extended the season ticket renewal deadline to 7th July and that fans have been given an extra week to secure season tickets. The tweet also carried a link to the official website.
This tweet caught the attention of many Celtic fans. They rushed to this tweet and made their negative opinions about the update very clear.
Quick enough to claim your free 50 thousand but dragging your heels to pay out your own supports .. the celtic way a guess

Is the club being greedy about the season tickets?
Yes, it is poor from them
No, they're doing the right thing
Celtic, I, like 1000’s more have paid to be put on to the ST waiting list! This is completely unjustified. Screwing us over with constant extensions, if they didn’t want to renew within the the original Extended date.. shocking

You must have a low threshold for emotional pain.
Is it the interest you have missed out on?

These Celtic fans aren’t too pleased that the club has extended the deadline. They feel that the club is being greedy so that they get more money through ticket sales from fans.
Celtic fans continued to relay their thoughts about this update, with plenty unhappy following the announcement.
Well my ticket is available for anyone on the waiting list. Can extend as many times as they like. The current deal is a nonsense. No idea when you will actually get into the ground so your paying roughly £25 to watch on tv.

One of the fans above seems to think that the virtual season ticket system isn’t worth the money and isn’t willing to pay the amount to watch games on television, with fans unable to visit Celtic Park on matchday at present.
It is important for fans to know that the pandemic has hit finances in football and it could be possible that Celtic have suffered financially. To make up for the fact that games could be played behind closed doors in the 2020/21 season, the SPFL has already reached an agreement with Sky Sports to offer virtual season tickets to fans.
Through this deal, the club would get financial aid if games are played in empty stadiums. So during these tough times, the fans should help the club in their own way.
