Some Celtic fans have been talking about the latest news update involving Inverness Caledonian Thistle that emerged on social media.
The Daily Record recently posted a news exclusive and then relayed it on social media. It involved how Morton chief executive Dave MacKinnon had ‘trashed’ claims that Inverness had recently made about not looking to void the season in Scotland.
The Daily Record had initially posted about how Inverness chief executive Scot Gardiner was looking to null and void the seasons across the country. The club had then released a statement about this, criticising what the Daily Record had revealed.
When the Daily Record relayed MacKinnon’s take on the Inverness situation, many Celtic fans flocked to it. They made their anger for Inverness very clear.
Oh dear @ICTFC ?

Can the Premiership be declared null and void?
There is a chance
Never
I think Scott Gardiner and Douglas Park should resign immediately for bringing the game into disrepute

The next question should be, how much were ICT offered to support a null n void season ending ? It would’ve cost them approx £175k-£475k? So who was offering to make up that shortfall? Only thing for certain is they wouldn’t go along with this unless an inducement was offered?

Surely there needs to be action taken against Gardiner and Park. Absolutely shameful behaviour to have been the ones conspiring all along. Using a global pandemic for their own ill conceived ends.

How on earth is he still employed by ICT,?

The update involving Morton from the Daily Record had revealed that Gardiner was seeking support from many other Championship clubs in his attempt to declare the seasons null and void. This was backed by some quotes from MacKinnon, who said that the initial report from the Daily Record was ‘accurate’ and six clubs recall a meeting with Gardiner.
What do we think?
Celtic fans rightly seem to think that Inverness’ attempts to null and void the season have been exposed. Null and voiding the season would have made sure that Celtic wouldn’t have won the Premiership title. In that sense, they are right to be angry at what Inverness were attempting to do as it wouldn’t have helped them at all.
