Some Celtic fans have been talking about the latest news about Damien Duff that emerged on social media.
It was recently confirmed by Neil Lennon that Duff is leaving Celtic to fully concentrate on his duties with the Republic of Ireland. Lennon called this a ‘blow’ for the Hoops.
The Daily Record relayed this information on Twitter too. Many Celtic fans flocked to this and made their opinions known.

Do you want Henrik Larsson to replace Damien Duff?
I'd love that
Not at all
Would love Henrik Larsson, Shaun Maloney would be ideal too, but can see it being big McManus

i dont understand this tbh…when you hear young coaches speak they talk about everyday training and game days etc…so why take a role thats less involved imo….

After retiring from playing, Duff became Shamrock Rovers’ youth coach in 2017. He joined Celtic as the assistant manager of the reserves in January 2019, and was promoted to the position of being Neil Lennon’s assistant manager in February 2019 and has been in that position ever since. Back in April this year, it was announced he would become part of the Irish national team’s coaching setup following Stephen Kenny’s appointment as Ireland boss.
What do we think?
Some Celtic fans don’t seem too happy that Duff is leaving. While some do come up with names of players that they want to succeed him, there is no clarity about who will replace Duff. It is time for Celtic fans to wait and see who will come in for Irishman.
