A lot of Newcastle United fans have replied to a tweet from Mark Douglas that has a link to an article from the Evening Chronicle included in it.
The Evening Chronicle’s article claims that La Liga’s president Javier Tebas told the Associated Press in a statement that ‘European football rights – including Newcastle rights – have been stolen systematically by BeoutQ.’
BeoutQ was a Saudi-based company that was accused of stealing European football rights, and beIN Sports think that those involved in the proposed takeover of the Toon knew about what BeoutQ were doing.
Tebas’ statement also implies that he thinks that the Saudi Arabian hierarchy knew about what BeoutQ were doing.
This statement has drawn the attention of these Toon fans who are not happy with Tebas’ comments.
Do you think Tebas' statement will have any impact?
No, just jealous

What do we think?
Tebas has now added his name to the growing list of complaints against this proposed takeover that includes the likes of beIN Sports and Amnesty International.
The Premier League are not expected to make their decision on this proposed takeover until next week – so it will be interesting to see what they decide.
