Some Celtic fans have been left to slate the BBC after a post involving the media organisation caught their attention.
A Celtic fan recently posted on Twitter saying that there should be an ‘investigation’ into BBC Sportsound’s editorial policy. The post said that journalists like Tom English are using the BBC to ‘carry out a witch hunt’.
On seeing this post, many Celtic fans agreed with the sentiment, criticising the BBC.
All BBC – including McIntyre, Currie & English, now full on, with selected guests, attacking SPFL & Scottish football. We know what they want, not justice for Hearts & Thistle, but a void league to suit Ibrox. This is the biggest sustained attack on Celtic FC since the Tricolour.

Is the BBC plotting against Celtic?
Yes, they are
I don't think so

Working in BBC, you are constantly aware of strict compliance and editorial policy guidelines covering absolutely everything you broadcast. This department seems completely oblivious to these, a totally rogue operation.

Agree its a form of media harassment of Neil Doncaster for no reason and with NO evidence

He clearly had a preconceived notion of the outcome and is cherry picking parts of the debate that align with this. Rather than take a step back and examine the evidence he is now doubling down in trump style and looking like a fool.

English was recently on the BBC Sportsound podcast, with The Celtic Star claiming that he was humiliated by Neil Doncaster on the show. English also wrote on the BBC website about how Scottish football ‘is at war with itself’, calling Scottish football an ‘optical illusion’. He talked about Rangers’ dossier of evidence and how it has divided opinion following the fallout from the recent resolution on the Scottish football season.
What do we think?
While English is entitled to his opinion being a journalist, he seems to have taken an anti-SPFL stance. Since the whole situation surrounds Rangers’ evidence against the SPFL is delaying a potential decision on the Premiership, one can see why Celtic fans aren’t happy. Their 13-point lead at the top of the table makes them favourites to win the title and they would want the decision to made as soon as possible. Perhaps, that is where the roots of supporters’ anger lies.
