Some Celtic fans have slammed Kris Commons after the former Hoops player made some comments recently.
Commons recently wrote a piece in the Daily Mail (via Daily Record) and said that he would support the independent investigation against the SPFL. He called the situation a ‘sorry’ episode in Scottish football and that there are ‘enough unanswered questions’ about the scenario.
These comments come after Rangers have said that they are ready to fund for an independent investigation into the SPFL voting. The Gers since saw their resolution voted down at an SPFL EGM on Tuesday.
The Daily Record relayed Commons’ comments on Twitter. Many Celtic fans saw this as a chance to flock to the tweet and make their anger at Commons clear.
Celtic hero?? He stopped being a Celtic hero a long time ago when he decided to sell his soul to further his media career.

Does Commons deserve hate for his comments?
Of course!
No, he doesn't
Beggar

What is wrong with this guy? Doesn’t matter if he believes it, he is speaking as an ex-Celtic player. He is not required to take a pro-Rangers stance. He doesn’t need to comment at all. Pundits do that all the time, “well it’s not my place to say……”.

Good player but wouldn’t clas him as a hero.

Interesting that he says you can’t act professionally and make mistakes. Not true Kris

Celtic hero?
In his dreams.

Kris Commons was never and will never be a “Celtic hero”

Commons had been at Parkhead from the winter of 2011 till the summer of 2017. He had joined the club from Derby County and left the club for free in the summer of 2017 (via Transfermarkt).
What do we think?
Despite being a former Celtic player who scored 89 goals and got 72 assists, Commons has made comments that don’t really favour Celtic’s stance. It shows exactly why Celtic fans aren’t happy with what he has to say.
