A group of Celtic supporters have been discussing their former player Freddie Ljungberg. The former Sweden international joined the Hoops in January 2011 from Chicago Fire.
The 43-year-old, who is currently a coach at Arsenal, only made eight appearances for the Glasgow giants, as per Transfermarkt. Ljungberg was a Premier League champion twice and an FA Cup winner on three occasions – but how do the Parkhead faithful remember his time with them?
Here is what they had to say in response to @Celtic1967_com‘s post on Twitter.
Ljuseless.

What do we think?
It’s clear from the above responses that these Celtic fans don’t have fond memories of the player’s time in Scotland.
Ljungberg played 75 times for his national team and was a part of the Arsenal side that went the entire 2003/04 season unbeaten. After leaving the North London club, he had spells with a number of clubs prior to his retirement, and the Celtic fans clearly feel he was well beyond his best when he arrived and you can therefore understand why he’s been labelled as a ‘pointless’ signing.
