Fans of Rangers have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays news that the SPFL have agreed to hold an emergency general meeting.
The SPFL has agreed to hold an “extraordinary general meeting” following requisitions by Rangers, Hearts and Stranraer. This comes after Gers called for an “independent inquiry” into the vote on ending the Scottish Championship, League One and League Two seasons.
Rangers have claimed that they will produce a “dossier of evidence” containing proof of clubs being “bullied” by the SPFL to vote in favour of the resolution in advance of the EGM.
In reaction to the news, which was relayed by Heart & Hand on Twitter, fans of the club have flocked to have their say on the matter, with many declaring that they are looking forward to seeing the evidence which Rangers claim to possess. Meanwhile, others have stated their belief that Rangers will not receive the support of other clubs in order to force an independent investigation into the vote.
Do you think clubs will back Rangers for a new independent investigation?
Yes
No

I guess the evidence shown to all clubs will eventually get into the public domain. A wee bit surprised only 2 other clubs supported the resolution

Why do Rangers need 75% backing for our independent investigation yet the SPFLs “investigation” took place without the knowledge of practically anyone?

Irrespective of what happens, and I believe the rest of the clubs won’t support an independent enquiry , we will be able to move forward

Emergency? 12th May is 2 weeks away..

We should be seeing the evidence shortly then, we did say it would be released to the clubs before the EGM.

Problem is money talks, and if they’ve been given a bung to stay in line then they won’t jeopardise the future of their own clubs financially no matter what the evidence shows. Corrupt to the core.

What do we think?
As an investigation into the SPFL vote which was sanctioned by the SPFL and carried out by Deloitte found “no evidence of impropriety”, it will certainly be interesting to finally see the evidence which Rangers claim to have, which displays bullying by the SPFL.
In any case, it would appear that many of these Rangers fans are standing behind their club and believe that the SPFL is a corrupt organisation.
