Fans of Manchester City have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports concerning Barcelona goalkeeper, Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
According to reports in Spanish publication Sport (via The Sun), talks between Ter Stegen and Barcelona have come to a standstill, putting Manchester City and Chelsea on alert about the possibility of a move for the 27-year-old.
In reaction to the reports, which were relayed by City Chief on Twitter, fans of the club have flocked to have their say on the matter, with many claiming that City’s priority in the transfer market should not be a goalkeeper, while others have stated their belief that the current city ‘keeper Ederson is better than Ter Stegen.
Would you like to see City make a move for Ter Stegen this summer?
Yeah
No way

Manchester City and Chelsea would be the biggest contenders for his signature with Guardiola a fan of his ability to play with his feet.

Of course is not a priority. One goalkeeper. And then, you will put on the bench? Because Ederson ?? of course main goalkeeper…

We have the goalie from the Favelas who can do everything a footballer can do, we dont need Andre Ter Stegen

What do we think?
While Ter Stegen is ranked as the joint-second most valuable goalkeeper in the world at £64.8million, City fans may be right to point out that they already possess a goalkeeper of great quality in Ederson.
The Brazilian only just ranks behind Ter Stegen in the list of the world’s most valuable ‘keepers according to Transfermarkt.co.uk. He is currently fourth on the list with a value of £50.4million and has proved his worth to the City side since joining from Benfica back in 2017, keeping 62 clean sheets and conceding just 101 goals in 131 appearances for City.
As such, it is no wonder why many of the City fans believe that a goalkeeper is not an area in which they need to strengthen this summer.
