Fans of Rangers have been reacting to a post on Twitter, in which the club posts a statement regarding the current situation surrounding the suspension of the football season.
In a statement posted on the club website, Rangers addressed several points, including talk surrounding the uncertainty over the resumption of the Scottish Premiership season, the financial stability of the club, as well as the future of the Scottish game.
The club calls for, amongst other things, an urgent equal payout of prize money ‘for the betterment of the Scottish game’ – while maintaining their stance that they believe the 2019/20 season is only over when all games have been completed.
In reaction to the post, fans of the club have flocked to have their say on the matter, with many claiming that they are proud of the club’s actions.

It’s a fair statement, I’d like to know the nuts & bolts of how prize money would be dealt with before the leagues over, if it’s an even split between all fair enough, if it isn’t, then I’d say nope, shove it, stick to the clubs original stance, walk away & let them fight over it

“The consequences of forcing through change without due care and attention will have severe consequences for the Scottish game”?
That BETTER mean @RangersFC refusing to take away tickets 4 the foreseeable future, and for Bears NOT to buy tickets that our enemies try to sell us!

A club trying to land a plan to help all clubs across Scotland and not just a chosen few should be applauded, as its Rangers though it won’t be….

What do we think?
While the comments made by the club surrounding the future of Scottish football and its clubs would appear to be well-intended, the fact that the statement goes on to read that all clubs should receive an equal payout of prize money for competitions this season would appear to contradict their earlier stance that the season must be finished.
However, the idea of releasing prize money to help less financially secure clubs is a fine one, but as yet there has been no action taken by the SPFL, who have many varying suggestions that could help to ensure the future of clubs within the league.
