Fans of Queens Park Rangers have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which asks fans whether they would like Geoff Cameron to be given a new deal in the summer.

The post states that Cameron has made 28 appearances for QPR this season, scoring one goal, before posing the question to fans as to whether they would give the 34-year-old a new deal in the summer, as the American’s current deal runs out at the end of this season.

What do we think?

While Cameron is heading towards the twilight of his career, he has still done a respectable job in defensive midfield for the R’s so far this season.

Playing 28 Championship games, the £653k-rated 34-year-old has scored one goal and provided one assist, while averaging a WhoScored match rating of 6.55.

Whether QPR do offer the American a new deal this summer is yet to be seen, however, one thing that is apparent from the fans’ comments is that they appreciate what he has done during his time at the club, with many of them suggesting that his contributions deserve a new deal for next season.
