A lot of Leeds United fans have replied to a post from a Twitter user after revealing they had their first Twitter account suspended because the EFL claimed it had breached copyright laws.
In his tweet, ‘Tommo v2’ claims he has been on Twitter for 10 years and built up over 4,000 followers before the EFL demanded him to take down some clips he had posted, which led to the suspension of his account.
This latest move by the EFL has annoyed these Leeds fans.
Do you agree with what the EFL did here?
No, should have left the first account alone
Yes, they had every right to do what they thought was right
I’ve spent the last 10 years on here – trying to share some Leeds United content, meeting some great people and building up over 4k followers.
And then along comes @EFL with a breach of copyright and takedown notice for some Leeds clips I’ve posted.

Followed you again fella. There’s some absolutely disgusting stuff on Twitter and it’s allowed. Don’t get it. You’ll get us all back.??

They should be pleased you are disseminating clips of their product and increasing demand for tickets and sky subscriptions
And instead SHOULD negotiate a much better TV contract with Sky so the chasm in funding between Prem and the Championship isn’t so massive

That’s annoying. Obviously nothing better to do at the moment

Sheesh, has someone @EFL got too much time on their hands and trying to justify their existence during lock down?!. Or perhaps they’re protecting the product for which they pay £m to the clubs for….oh wait!

For real ?

What do we think?
Tommo v2 claims that he is actually promoting the EFL and is not gaining anything commercially from posting a few clips online.
He does make a good point; however, the EFL has every right to take down footage that they legally own.
Although, he is arguably right to suggest that the EFL should have something better to do at the present time than take clips down from Twitter.
