Leeds United shared a video via their official Twitter account of a selection of former players and others associated with the club taking part in the ‘Clap For Our Carers’ campaign where they paid tribute to those working on the front-lines in the battle against the viral outbreak.
Some of those who participated included Rio Ferdinand, Gordon Strachan, Peter Lorimer and Andrea Radrizzani and the post has received a huge response on the social media platform Twitter.

What do we think?
It’s clear from the above responses that many of the Leeds supporters were moved by the inclusion of the late Gary Speed’s family. The former Wales international tragically took his own life back in 2011. He signed as a trainee with the Whites in 1988 and made his first-team debut at the age of 19. Speed was a key member of Leeds’ 1992 title-winning side (as per the Mirror) and it’s clear from the reaction that he is fondly remembered at Elland Road.
