A lot of Leeds United fans have responded to Graham Smyth’s tweet – after the Yorkshire Evening Post reporter shared a piece about the Championship’s best XI this season selected by journalists from around the country.
The side, selected by 15 different reporters, included Ben White, Luke Ayling and Kalvin Phillips as the Leeds representatives.
This has gone down well with some Leeds fans, though; some wanted to know why certain other Whites players were not included.
Do you agree with this team?
Yes, can't argue
No, not happy
Helped select a Championship team of the year (so far) with 14 other writers.

Klich and Dallas not even mentioned, these things are always about individuals and not how they’d work together

However, a few Leeds fans focused on the fact Wayne Rooney received one vote – which baffled them.
Who was it graham, how did he get a vote ? pic.twitter.com/xN4QD04dIx

Somebody voted for Rooney? …utterly incomprehensible…

What do we think?
For Leeds to have three representatives in the team is a fair reflection on their exploits this season.
Ayling has contributed four goals and four assists in just 28 league appearances this season – so we feel he deserves his place in this team.
White has played in every league game for Marcelo Bielsa’s men – so can, therefore, be classed as an important part of the league’s best defence.
Phillips, on the other hand, has been involved in 17 league wins and averages a 7.2 rating in the league – so we think his inclusion in the team is also justified.
