Some Celtic fans have been talking about James Forrest after a post about the Scotsman went viral on social media.
The official Celtic Twitter account recently posted an update about Forrest, saying that he has been nominated for the club’s Player of the Year and Goal of the Season awards, asking the fans to enter a competition to win Forrest’s signed shirt.
But after reading this tweet, many Hoops fans were left divided. Some thought he didn’t deserve it while others said that he gets unfair criticism.
Does Forrest deserve to be the Player of the Season?
Yes, he's been brilliant
No, he doesn't deserve it
Literally the worst player in our starting 11 outside of Taylor

This season, Forrest has been a regular under Neil Lennon. He has made 47 appearances in all competitions for the Hoops and has scored 16 goals while picking up 22 assists for them. In the Premiership, Forrest has contributed to 27 goals in 28 outings.
What do we think?
Forrest’s numbers show what an impact he’s had at the club. He’s risen through the ranks at Parkhead since first breaking into the first team back in the 2009/10 season. The fact that he’s still a regular at the club and scoring goals shows that he has come a long way. Celtic fans should respect that and realise his importance.
